The attitude of large companies to small businesses should change radically, said Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko, speaking at a meeting of the 25th Congress of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs” (RSPP).
She regretted that today the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to the Russian GDP is 2-3 times less than in developed countries. Correction of the situation, according to the speaker, should contribute to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises. Valentina Matvienko recalled the words of the founder of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Arkady Volsky, who believed that the attitude of representatives of large business to colleagues from small and medium-sized enterprises should radically change. And the principle “we grow together” is very productive here.
Valentina Matvienko expressed the opinion that “we need to develop such cooperation.” “We need to encourage large companies to engage small businesses in their projects on a long-term basis. Including through the system of subcontracts within the framework of state orders, ”said the speaker of the Federation Council.
According to estimates by leading scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, expert institutes, the growth potential of the Russian economy is not estimated at 1.5-2%, as laid down in the official forecast of socio-economic development, but at 6-8%. And in order to reach these indicators, according to Valentina Matvienko, one does not have to wait for many years. “This is convinced by monitoring the situation in the regions. In many of them, contrary to external and internal difficulties, large-scale and necessary projects are being implemented, ”the speaker noted.
